FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I find you on the VicRoads list of approved clubs?

We received approval in 2025, and VicRoads haven't updated the list since December 2024.

You're more than welcome to call VicRoads to confirm our approval status, give us a call for a chat or check our dozens of independently verified reviews!

Do you allow buses, motorhomes, trucks, and scooters in the club?

Yes! We have a number of members with classic Toyota Coaster motorhomes, Kenworth Trucks, and Vespas.
You're more than welcome to join.

What's the process to join?

Simply purchase your membership and we'll email you to get your paperwork moving.

When do I need a RWC?

A roadworthy certificate is required for all new club permit applications.
This includes:

  • If the car is currently fully registered under your name and is moving to a club plate.
  • if you are purchasing a vehicle and it is currently on a permit with the old owner (club permits are non-transferable)

If you have an existing club permit under your name with another club and would like to move to our club, you do not need an RWC.

How long does the membership application take?

Super fast, we'll usually have your forms back to you in about a day.
If you make sure you fill the forms out correctly and provide the correct photographs, it speeds it up a lot.

Do I need to bring the vehicle to you, or do you need to come and look at the vehicle?

No - as long as the photos provided are current and details are correct, it's all done remotely.

How old does the vehicle need to be for Club Plates?

The vehicle must be 25 years or older - this goes from the build date of the vehicle.

Do I need to get my renewals signed in person?

All renewals are completed via email, no need to drive out to see us unless you want to catch up for Cars and Coffee
